California Leads Solar Efforts
Warren E. Buffet’s company Berkshire Hathaway Energy Renewables’ subsidiary, BHE Solar-owned Solar Star, a solar power plant, became operational in June of this year. It is currently the largest solar power plant in the world. Solar Star is utility-scale and supplies electricity to Southern California Edison (SCE), which is planning to make distributed energy a core part of its structure, per state law AB 327. A move in a more sustainable direction, as energy guru Amory Lovins has long instructed.
Apparently, all three of the largest solar power plants are located in California – Solar Star, Topaz Solar, and Desert Sunlight. Go California!
