2 Steps to Smart Sweetness: TreatBox Accolades
After a joyride with our TreatBox launch during Raksha Bandhan, we’ve enjoyed TreatBox Fiji Day and Prophet Mohammed’s birthday, and then TreatBox Diwali, including a specially packaged batch we did for delivery to elite households in Suva, thanks to an overseas client who wanted to wow them with our product. What an honor!
When we reflect on what makes TreatBox special, it’s clear that we embrace a Smart Sweetness approach: we want to decouple sweet treats from lifestyle diseases, and couple them instead with joy and wellbeing. Tall order? Not if you take it one sweet step at a time.
Two of the key steps are:
- Use Nature’s sweeteners: fruit (we use pineapples, bananas, and mangoes), dried fruit (dates, raisins, dried apricots, and so many more options, but make sure they have zero added sugar), and fruit nectars (coconut, agave) are much more nutritious than refined sugar and refined carbs. Use sparingly and train your tastebuds to appreciate subtle sweetness.
- Eat mindfully less: Treats are not meals, so eat one small treat or two at a time, and avoid binge eating even healthy treats. Make it a ritual to really savor your sweet treat, paying it your full attention. Avoid gobbling up multiple sweets. Focus on the real emotional or other need underlying sweet cravings.
Importantly, we also want to share with you what our beloved TreatBoxes customers had to say about our Diwali offerings, evidencing their absolute love for our products, which proves that when you do what’s right for your mind and body, it brings you joy:
- LOVE: a local food critic had this to say: I loved the sweets. Will be ordering again. Some of your laddoo and barfi flavors sound delightful.
- More LOVE: a young professional wrote: Love everything in the box! Will be ordering 2 more boxes later. Great concept! I’m trying to quit sugar so this will be a life saver. I hope you guys go big!
- Even more LOVE: a health professional told us: The people I gifted the special TreatBoxes to are saying how much they love them!
- Could it be? More LOVE: an environmentalist wrote: The sweets were amazing. There was a very appreciative dairy-free guest and I LOVED them too!
Well, there you have it: the proof is in the love. When we practice smart sweetness, our body loves us and we know we are loving ourselves to enhanced wellness.
Share with us your steps to Smart Sweetness, and let’s celebrate together the power of being at your best.
