Research: Meditation Boosts Compassion
Research from Northwestern University shows that those who practiced mindfulness meditation were three times more likely to exhibit compassionate behavior toward people who were suffering, compared to those who did not meditate. A follow-up study used mobile apps to teach mindfulness, as a way to approach scalability of this behavior, and found a similar result. It appears that mindfulness meditation is a reliable pathway for building compassionate behavior; glad we have that covered at Alchemus Prime!
