Game-Like Activities Boost Cognition & Balance
As we age, it is important to stay active, but not just in any way: playful, unpredictable, and creative activities are more helpful. Research suggests that cardiovascular activity that includes coordination can improve cognition. Games, dancing, and sports like tennis, which involve unpredictable outcomes and responses, enhance balance and cognition. I guess my salsa dancing addiction is better for me than I thought!!
